What do mormons believe?

I recently found this and love it. It is a 20 year old Young single adult Harvard girl on a religious panal answering Q's about mormonism. If you've ever wondered about some of the basic questions, she does a great job explaining.

Elder Thacker from Omaha

Earlier this week we going to visit a less active member's home and there was a man across the street shoveling his sidewalk. So we walked over there and quickly introduced ourselves and I showed him a pass-a-long card with the picture of christ coming to the americas and I asked him if he had ever seen the picture before. he said no and I explained it was Christ visiting the american continent. I told him we know this because of the book of mormon. the book of mormon also restores the truths that have been lost from hundreds of translations of the bible. He asked for an example of something that has been lost and I said that the bible doesn't make it clear what happens to us after we die. I gave him the 20 second version of life after death and then he mentioned that his wife had died a week and a half ago. So obviously the spirit had prompted me to talk about this particular subject because it was perfect for his needs. I am quickly finding out that when the spirit is prompting me to teach about something, I don't feel overwhelming emotions or ideas; the spirit just puts thoughts in my head. Usually I think these thoughts are my own thoughts until after the matter, then i realize i was inspired.
